April 7, 2022 || Canadian police report arrest of sophisticated drug lab

A search of two homes in Chestermere and Clagari, resulted in the discovery of a drug lab. A search warrant was issued to Calgary police during an eight-month investigation into a drug trafficking case. As a result, more than $5.7 million in drugs were seized and two people were arrested.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the home on April 7 and, as a result, reportedly discovered a sophisticated methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine lab. Law enforcement say they were able to seize 4.57 kilograms of methamphetamine, 27.21 kilograms of fentanyl powder, 3,132 fentanyl pills, 2 kilograms of cocaine, 43.7 grams of crack cocaine, 47,042 oxycodone pills, 716 Xanax pills, drug manufacturing equipment, one Glock handgun with silencer, an automatic firearm, 900 cartridges and $10,000 in Canadian currency.

The total value of the drugs and equipment seized is estimated at approximately $5.7 million.

Two arrests have also been reported at Calgary International Airport. Daniel Heng, 39, and Edric Padua-Balmes, 30, were arrested, both facing charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to traffic and a charge of possession of proceeds of crime.

We have to try to work so that even in a situation where law enforcement seizes servers, the traces left on the server will not lead to a real identity. Our security is only in our hands.
Distribution and money laundering are not the main problems. The most important people in our business are the producers, the other resulting problems are much easier to solve.

In today's world, in order to build a sustainable synthetic drug business, you have to have a production line in the first place and secure it reliably from external threats. Break the direct link between production and distribution, i.e. the people involved in distribution must not be connected to those involved in production. It is difficult to single out the main problem, each stage has its own difficulties.
